CHAMPAGNE DHONDT-GRELLET Le Bateau Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
Sparkling Wine, Chardonnay
2015 – Powerful – A dry, sunny growing season produced small, evenly ripe berries with relatively high potential alcohol. The wines are concentrated and vinous, with ripe orchard and red fruit, broad texture, and substantial structure. Pinot Noir was particularly successful, giving the vintage a deep and powerful character.
2019 – Classic – Frost, mildew pressure, and two intense heatwaves reduced yields and required careful sorting, but the surviving fruit achieved excellent maturity. The wines combine concentration with freshness, showing ripe fruit, vibrant acidity, and clear mineral definition. They are powerful in substance but classically balanced in structure.

Champagne Dhondt-Grellet
Over the past two decades, the Grower movement in Champagne has seen the rise to prominence of hundreds of new estates and the fall of nearly as many. Dhondt-Grellet is one of the few new faces to the Champagne scene that has not only maintained its follower base from the start but has gained in acclaim and status every year. There is no doubt anymore that it is one of the most serious new players in Champagne today.
